We offer a simple solution to high levels of care and a place to call home while you wait for your Long-Term Care placement or if you choose to stay with us on a permanent basis.
Whether you choose ward or semi-private or private, accommodation, Barrie Manor will provide a hospital bed and night stand and families will provide all other items.
Families can rest assured, knowing that their loved ones are being cared for which will allow them to focus on their own day to day lives. Family visits become more meaningful instead of task oriented.
It�s a proven fact that when Residents that come from the hospital are living within a safe environment that provides the care they require; such as meals, housekeeping and socialization - it significantly reduces the high rates of readmission to hospital.
We work closely with HCC/LHINS and all the hospitals near and far to accommodate the needs of families and hospitals alike.
With regular visits from the Fire Department to ensure that we are up to code we are proud to offer the following Emergency Response Systems:
- Emergency call system throughout the community
- Emergency Call bell system in all suites
- Automatic sprinkler system in each suite and throughout the entire building
- Fire alarms professionally monitored from GIT security and fire station
- Smoke detectors throughout the building and in each suite
- Surveillance cameras throughout for extra security
- Wander alert system situated at each exit
- Fire drills held monthly
